NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - Epic Aviation, Central Florida’s premier flight training academy, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Trans Maldivian Airways. Trans Maldivian Airways, or TMA, is based out of the Maldives. Originally called Hummingbird Island Helicopters, TMA is the oldest and the most experienced Air transfer operator in the Maldives. They operate the largest fleet of Twin Otters, transporting resorts passengers from island to island.
Danny Perna, owner and CEO of Epic Aviation, is excited about the prospect of training TMA’s flight crews. “With our state-of-the-art aircraft and training simulators, we are able to deliver the most comprehensive accelerated training courses using the safest, most economical methods possible.” Additionally, Epic offer’s supplemental English training courses that can help international students obtain a better understanding of the English language and provide them with all the tools necessary to become a qualified flight candidate for the airlines.
“We have been involved with international flight training for a number of years” states Mr. Perna. “We are very familiar with the Visa and TSA application process and offer a turn-key application process to ensure a smooth transition into Epic’s flight programs”.
The initial group of TMA flight training candidates have arrived in Central Florida and are currently engaged in their private pilot ground curriculum. When these students successfully finish the program, they will emerge with an FAA commercial multi-engine flight certificate with a seaplane rating.
